Description:The ideal candidate should be comfortable in learning and tackling projects utilizing unfamiliar technologies, and be able to switch between multiple projects and tasks quickly and efficiently. Good time management and organizational skills are necessary to assist in developing IT processes/procedures and to manage own work queue, perform escalations, and assist in team projects. Candidate must be able to balance and prioritize work. a positive attitude and ablity to work effectively in a peer-oriented small team environment with minimal supervision is extremely important. If you enjoy thinking outside of the box and effectively contributing ideas, and contributing to a project’s success and are extremely self motivated and willing to be part of a team this is the place for you.
Duties:• Respond to technical support queries in person, via email and on the phone in a professional and timely manner.
• Troubleshoot, isolate, and research problems, recommending solutions and escalating the issue when necessary.
• Communicate known problems/fixes to team members, submitting knowledge solutions as needed, notifying management and end user communities where applicable.
• Assists higher level engineers in research of problems.
• Install, maintain and problem resolution of PC hardware and operating systems (W2K, Windows XP, Vista) and attached hardware, including printers and print servers.
• Adding/deleting/modifying user account information, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software.
• Set up audio visual/computer equipment as needed for internal meetings.
• Provide local data protection including backup monitoring and restores.
• Rotating 24/7 on-call pager duty required. Occasional local travel may be required.
• First level troubleshooting on network problems.
• Support of Blackberry handheld devices.
• Maintain PC/LAN/Asset/Licensing and Inventory.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance. procedures, and update maintenance logs.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
• Monitor and manage inventory of job related supplies.
Qualifications:Minimum pre-requisites for consideration:
• 1-3 years help desk experience.
• The candidate must have hands on experience with basic LAN administration, network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN's.
• The candidate must be able to do basic network troubleshooting using ping, tracert, nslookup and other tools.

Hands on experience required:
• Microsoft Windows XP / Server 2003
• Active Directory
• MS Office 2003/2007 Suite-- Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Project and Access.

Not required but a plus:
• College degree and/or professional certifications (MCP, MCSE, COMPTIA Certifications)
• Experience with scripting (VBS or PowerShell )
• Exchange 2003 administration
• Windows SharePoint Services
• Virtual Private Networking
